The Myrtle Beach Mermen and Minnesota Loons provided some drama at Tennille Grounds.

Minnesota starter Homer Robertson pitched effectively against the Myrtle Beach Mermen at Tennille Grounds. The left-hander led his team to a 6-5 win. Horatio McAllister earned his 4th save in 8 chances.

Luis Delvalle went 1 for 3 with a walk for Minnesota. The 21-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Gregory Bahena. It was his 27th walk of the season.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Delvalle.

Minnesota, at 43-45, sits in 6th place in the Premier AA.
