Divided Squelch Gold Sox Offense in Shutout Win
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the D.C. Divided and Chicago Gold Sox clash at Gold Sox Field.
D.C. Divided starter Bill Oulton turned in a top-notch performance against the Chicago Gold Sox at Gold Sox Field. The result was a win for the Divided, 4-0. The defending champion Divided are off to a horrible start to the season, notching only their 3rd win in 9 games.
Mario Castillo helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a solo home run to give D.C. a 1-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth. "It's usually not just one thing."
