Loss Extends Bakersfield Losing Streak
|
The Royse City Targaryens topped the Bakersfield Nobles, 6-2, in USPL Triple A action at Royse City Stadium. The player of the game was Royse City pitcher and Baní, Dominican Republic native Ramón Torres. Royse City reliever Manuel Torres picked up the win to move to 1-1. Hiro Kurasawa suffered the loss. Armando Gonzáles picked up the save for Royse City, his 1st of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Royse City, had it not been for Ashley Thachi, the 21-year old shortstop . Thachi contributed a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second inning to put Royse City up, 2-1.
"We've got a great group of guys," Thachi said, "and we're having fun right now."
