Late Rally by Nationals Secures Win
Cisco Ortíz pitched well, but the Virginia Beach Deuces still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the Ottawa Nationals at Nationals Park. Ed Maresh picked up the save, his 7th. With the win, the Nationals improved to 10-14.

Mike Jennings went 1 for 3 for Ottawa. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Aurelio Ornelas. It was his 14th RBI of the season.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Jennings told the Ottawa Chronicle.
