Rawhides Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The Rawhides faced a stiff challenge from Ft. Polk South pitcher Louis McDowell, but persevered to claim a win at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The final score was 6-2. McDowell went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Andrew Holloway was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed no runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. The save went to Rodrigo Rangel, his 4th this season.
In the top of the second, Jorge Alcantar hit a 2-run home run for Belvedere Park. The 1st home run of the season for the Belvedere Park designated hitter put the Rawhides on top, 2-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Alcantar said.
The Rawhides, now 13-6, have been playing some good baseball.
