The Alloway Halberds beat the Scranton Supernovas, 6-3, at Ballpark of Alloway. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Jordan Hollins, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 2 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 'W' lifts Alloway's record to 53-49.
The Halberds got a big at-bat from second baseman Jesús Trevino. For the game, Trevino was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Alloway a 5-3 lead.
In postgame comments to the Alloway Observer, Hollins said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
