With first baseman José Zarate leading the charge, the Alloway Halberds defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 6-3, at Drummers Ballpark. Zarate, who was drafted in the two round of the 2027 draft, was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Halberds now have a mark of 29-22.
Zarate had a key at-bat for Alloway early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and gave Alloway an early 2-0 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Zarate.
