The Port Royal Disaster topped the Scranton Supernovas by the score of 8-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Winston Sparks. Sparks was 3-3 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for the Disaster on the day. Port Royal reliever Jackson Haines picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jeff Schneider was saddled with the loss. Port Royal is now 20-30, Scranton 19-31.

Sparks had a game-changing single in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-1 sinker from Jeff Schneider, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Disaster a 8-7 lead. It was the 44th hit of the year for Sparks.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sparks. "And not try to do too much."
