Doubledays Sneak Past Supernovas, 5-4
|
The Scranton Supernovas got a sterling performance from pitcher Goodluck Obasanjo, but the Doubledays still prevailed, 5-4. Obasanjo was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball. Carlos Costello picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Jeff Schneider was tagged with the loss. The Doubledays improved to 21-23.
Sheldon Deshotels made it 5-4 in favor of Tremont when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Doubledays went on to win.
"I felt good up there," said Deshotels. "I saw the ball well."
