Sonics Come Back Late, Nip Seawolves
|
The Atlantic City Sonics got a magnificent effort from pitcher Norberto Concepción, who kept Long Island hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Sonics win at Sonics Ballpark. The winner was Atlantic City reliever Doppo Omikado, now 8-3. The loser was John Kraan. The Sonics have now won 5 straight.
Alejandro Sánchez was the walk-off hero for Atlantic City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sonics third baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Sánchez said.
