Misfits Come Up Short at San Antonio
The San Antonio BC did just enough to sneak past the Salem Misfits, 6-5, at San Antonio Field. San Antonio catcher Scotty Vallee earned player of the game honors. San Antonio reliever Nathan Bolton got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Darryl Bachman was tagged with the loss. Mark Goldwire sewed up the save, his 4th.

San Antonio took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Rafael López hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring BC fans to their feet.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Antonio manager Tomás Medina.

Even with the win, the BC have a dismal 26-56 record.
