Big Day for Delgadilo as BC Down Misfits, 13-7
|
The Salem Misfits and San Antonio BC brought some excitement to Ricochets Ballpark.
The San Antonio BC powered past the Salem Misfits, 13-7, at Ricochets Ballpark. Anastasio Delgadilo went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Derek Holbrook got the win, improving to 2-4. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 7 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2.
Delgadilo contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for San Antonio in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Delgadilo took a fastball from Lorenzo Valverde and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the BC to leap in front, 2-1.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Antonio manager Tomás Medina.
The BC saw their win-loss record go to 19-49. At the same time, the Misfits fell to 34-34.
