Fans who gathered at Farmers Field saw a good contest between the San Antonio BC and Lancaster Farmers.

The San Antonio BC topped the Lancaster Farmers by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Mike Howard. Howard was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the BC. Mark Goldwire picked up the save, his 1st.

Howard contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for San Antonio in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Howard took a fastball from Javier Contreras and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the BC to leap in front, 2-1.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said San Antonio manager Tomás Medina.

Even with the win, the BC have a dismal 17-42 record.
