Curry goes 4-for-5 to Pull Seawolves to .500
The Long Island Seawolves beat the Westwood Sixshooters, 11-4, at Sixshooters Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Jackson Curry, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with 4 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Jamey Crockett was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Long Island now owns a record of 23-23.

Pedro Colón didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to put Long Island on top, 2-0.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Long Island manager Matt Helsley.
