San Antonio and Lancaster duked it out at Farmers Field and the BC came out victorious.
The San Antonio BC got a stellar performance from pitcher Martín Salazar, who handcuffed the Lancaster offense en route to a 5-2 win at Farmers Field. Salazar, now 1-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 1, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. Earning his 5th save for San Antonio was Felipe Vega.
Alba Hidalgo de Jesus aided the San Antonio cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," de Jesus told the San Antonio Daily.
Even with the win, the BC have a dismal 15-28 record.
