Both teams had their chances, but the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes eventually prevailed at Dog Park in Ellenburg.

The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes trumped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 8-7, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Santa Barbara center fielder James Pike was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Santa Barbara reliever Kaluka Wene got the win, raising his record to 5-0. Rodger de Meza was tagged with the loss.

Pike had a game-changing single in the top of the 15th. On a 1-1 fastball from Rodger de Meza, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Golden Cranes a 8-7 lead. It was the 76th hit of the year for Pike.
