Pitcher John Kaufman was sensational for the Boston Patriots in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Chicago Gold Sox. Kaufman received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Getting the save was Folkert van Huizen, his 5th. Boston now owns a record of 10-14.

Yosuke Hayashi helped out the Boston cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Hayashi told the Boston News.
