Misfits Hayward Gone for Year Thursday, August 23rd, 2029 The season is finished for Damien Hayward of the Salem Misfits. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Misfits starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Lannister United Lionhearts. Team doctors said it would take at least 8 months to heal. To this point in the season, Hayward shows a 11-2 record, 20 starts, 139 innings, 105 strikeouts and a 2.46 ERA. |
