Gant Wins SAA Player of the Week Prize Monday, September 10th, 2029 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USSL Double A, but last week Dave Gant of the Tacoma Fur Traders reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Gant rocked opposing pitching for a .455 average (5-for-11), 3 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Gant is swinging the bat at a .297 rate with 103 hits in 347 at-bats. To date he has hit 8 home runs, scored 61 runs and driven in 56. |
