Black Cats Pin 5-2 Loss on Dragonblood
|
The Gwinnett County Black Cats picked up a win at Pipers Ballpark, knocking off the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 5-2. Starting pitcher Aimo Latva, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Ming-hoa Zhou was called on to finish, recording his 13th save. Yellowknife's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Elder Sarrano was a key contributor to the win for the Black Cats. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to left. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI.
Sarrano told the Gwinnett County Herald: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
