Ballpark of Mt. Vernon was the site of a exceptional pitchers' duel.
The Chicago Tula racked up a win at Ballpark of Mt. Vernon, bumping off the Mt. Vernon Bulls, 2-0. Andrew Prieto, who started for Chicago, pitched effectively for his team. Prieto picked up the win for Chicago, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-2. Raúl Romero earned the save for Chicago, his 10th of the year.
Chicago grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 1st, Otton Dis delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Tula.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Dis told reporters after the game.
The Tula now own a record of 24-33.
