Dragonblood Get One-Run Win at Idaho Falls
|
The Yellowknife Dragonblood topped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 1-0, in USPL Single A action at Idaho Falls Park. The player of the game was Yellowknife pitcher and Vigo, Spain native Julián Menchaca. Yellowknife reliever Julián Menchaca was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Albert Sierra took the loss for Idaho Falls. Shusaku Kobayashi picked up the save for Yellowknife, his 1st of the year.
Early in the game, center fielder José García had a run-scoring single for Yellowknife. It was his 34th hit of the season and put the Dragonblood on top, 1-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Menchaca told the Yellowknife Herald.
The Dragonblood now have a record of 15-12 with the win over Idaho Falls.
