The exploits of designated hitter Guus de Weerdt, who is tied for 2nd in the 3A in home runs with 8, helped the Alameda Airmen defeat the Provo Mango, 7-2. de Weerdt was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Airmen, at 34-21, have now won 10 straight.

Alameda shortstop Mick Spargo helped the Airmen go up, 1-0, in the top of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Spargo hit a run-scoring double off Provo pitcher Nicolas Roche.
