Rails Get Road Win, 5-4
|
Richland right-hander Shotaro Sugahara made an effective start against the Asheville Highlanders at Asheville Park, leading his team to a 5-4 win. Hartmann Riedman, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. The win puts the Rails at 38-34, while the Highlanders drop to 30-42.
Alexandre Keeping chipped in for Richland, stroking a crucial single in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Keeping told the Richland Observer.
