Rails Fall Short, 6-5, at Lannister United

The Lannister United Lionhearts beat the Richland Rails, 6-5, at Lionheart Field. The Lionhearts got a fine performance from designated hitter Ron Morton, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times. Ramiro Flores picked up the save for Lannister United, his 2nd of the year. Lannister United is now 33-36, Richland 36-33.
Lannister United grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Neil Sanderson delivered a 2-run double, to make it 6-4 in favor of the Lionhearts.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Sanderson said.
