Continentals Lose Again, 9-4, to Eclipse
|
The Northville Eclipse trumped the Chesapeake Continentals, 9-4, at Chesapeake Grounds. Northville center fielder Edgardo De Jesús was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Northville reliever Robert Neal picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Obadiah Small shouldered the loss. Earning his 1st save for Northville was Ricardo Ramírez.
The Eclipse got a lift from designated hitter Augusto Rocha who had a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning off Obadiah Small. It was his 18th walk of the season and put Northville in front, 1-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Northville manager Juan Padilla.
The slumping Continentals have lost 6 straight.
