Sugahara in Cruise Control in 14-0 Win
|
Richland Rails starter Shotaro Sugahara was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Myrtle Beach Mermen, 14-0. The last-place Mermen have lost 4 straight games.
It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Sugahara, who tallied 3 strikeouts in 8 innings and allowed only 3 hits. Sugahara, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA with a 1.43 ERA, raised his record to 3-0 on the year with 21 strikeouts.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Sugahara.
