Mermen Get Past San Antonio for 4-3 Win
Myrtle Beach Mermen starter Tony Alfonso was in fine form against the San Antonio BC at Tennille Grounds, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Myrtle Beach, at 5-1, has sizzled in the early going.

Carlos González was the walk-off hero for Myrtle Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mermen first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We did a lot of things right," said González.
