A 4-RBI performance from Leo Szilard, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AA in triples with 3, helped the Virginia Beach Deuces beat the Springfield Shooters, 6-2. Érico Laborde got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The Deuces saw their win-loss record go to 25-17. At the same time, the Shooters fell to 29-13.

Szilard came through with some timely hitting for Virginia Beach. With the score 1-0 in the top of the second and two down, Szilard hit a 0-1 fastball for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season made it 5-0, Virginia Beach.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Szilard.
