Legion Get Close Win Over Flamingos
|
Getting a good performance from shortstop Elia Amberezzio, the Kingston Township Legion defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 8-6. Amberezzio went 3-5 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Legion. John Riggleman closed the game out for Kingston Township, earning his 17th save. After today's action, Kingston Township sits at 37-48, while Las Vegas falls to 57-28.
Kingston Township took the lead in the top of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Mike Gardner stroked a run-scoring double to make it 7-6, Legion.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Kingston Township manager Rayzor Ray.
