Athletic Club KC Academy Pin 7-2 Loss on Sixshooters

The exploits of shortstop Abdallah Rweikiza helped the Athletic Club KC Academy defeat the Westwood Sixshooters, 7-2. Rweikiza went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Athletic Club KC Academy reliever Ernesto Lucero picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kevin Samuels was saddled with the loss. Athletic Club KC Academy, at 21-42, occupies last place in the Silver AA.
Colin Bottone, the 22 overall pick in the 2028 draft, helped out the Athletic Club KC Academy cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a walk.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Rweikiza.
