Lionhearts Chill Tafalla's Hot Streak Thursday, July 13th, 2028 Chesapeake shortstop Eustacio Tafalla came into today's game against the Lannister United Lionhearts on a hot streak. When it was over, the Lionhearts did their job very well. They beat the Chesapeake Continentals 7-0 and cooled him off at the same time. Lannister United stopped Tafalla without a hit and his 20-game hitting streak came to an end. The 19-year-old Tafalla only had a few words to say after the game, "I had a chance to do it and I came up short." His manager commented, "What Eustacio did was exciting and quite an achievement. It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 20 games in a row. I'm really proud of him. And I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play." Tafalla is hitting .398 this year with 1 home run, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 37 hits in 93 at-bats, 6 walks and a .430 on-base percentage. Tafalla has played in 23 games. |
