Slade of Athletic Club KC Academy Named Best Pitcher Thursday, October 5th, 2028 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Wayne Slade performed like a veteran on the hill for the Athletic Club KC Academy and walked away with the USPL Double A Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process. The 20-year-old Athletic Club KC Academy star fashioned a 13-2 won-loss record in 2028 with a 2.45 ERA. In 132 innings of work and 17 starts, Slade struck out 79 while giving up 117 hits and 40 walks. He held opposing batters to a .244 average. Panda Montana of the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles finished second in voting, while Maru Pao Pao of the Little Caesars Hot N Readys finished third. |
