Isaacson Connects for 3 Homers for Flyers

Byron Isaacson, the Pennsauken first baseman, put on a dazzling display of power today at Pennsauken Park against the Alloway Halberds. In the 20-1 victory Isaacson penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single day efforts.

What a display it was -- three home runs, 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. It certainly was a day for the league record books.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," the Alloway manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so good."

Talking about his theory of hitting after the game, Isaacson said, "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off. The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases ... or trot around the bases, like I did today."

So says the latest person to hit three homers in a game.

Byron Isaacson hit a two-run home run off Orlando De Jesús in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Orlando De Jesús in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Will Benton in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.

So far this season Isaacson is batting .308 with 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 65 at-bats, 9 walks and a .387 OBP. Isaacson has played in 16 games.
