Injury Sidelines Miguel Álvarez For Year
Friday, September 15th, 2028
The doctors have spoken and Miguel Álvarez of the Hialeah Dodos didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Álvarez sustained his season-ending injury during the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds game yesterday at Dodos Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hialeah medical staff reported Álvarez had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months.
This season Álvarez has 6 wins and 5 losses and a 3.82 ERA.
