Year Ends for Ken Gardner in Mt. Vernon
Thursday, July 13th, 2028
Ken Gardner will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Mt. Vernon shortstop could miss the remainder of the year. Gardner was injured while making a defensive play in the Bulls-Black Cats clash at Pipers Ballpark recently. Doctors said he has a concussion and would be out a minimum of 9 months.

In 48 games this season Gardner is batting .244 with 32 hits and no home runs. He has scored 14 runs and driven in 11.
