Season Possibly Over for Jorge Cruzan
Wednesday, August 30th, 2028
Phoenix starting pitcher Jorge Cruzan could miss the remainder of the season because of bone chips in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Gwinnett County game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Cruzan would be out 5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

In season stats Cruzan shows a 9-3 record in 18 games, 124.1 innings, 118 strikeouts and a 2.39 ERA.
