Pagnotta Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, August 28th, 2028 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-8 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Stan Pagnotta got one today. He scattered hits all over York Park to pace Highwood to a 4-1 victory over York. The York skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Pagnotta hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Stan Pagnotta tripled in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 10th, doubled in the 12th, struck out in the 14th, singled in the 16th and hit an RBI double in the 18th.
