Losing Streak Continues for Northern Lions BC with 5-3 Loss
|
The Chicago Gold Sox defeated the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 5-3, at Gold Sox Field. Chicago catcher Eddie Flynn was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. This loss makes it 9 in a row for Thunder Bay.
The Gold Sox beat the Northern Lions BC in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the double Sergio Rodríguez produced in the bottom of the fourth. Batting against Thunder Bay pitcher Tyler MacHugh, he gave his team a 3-2 lead when he hit a run-scoring double.
"We've got a great group of guys," Flynn said, "and we're having fun right now."
