The Gwinnett County Black Cats got a strong performance from pitcher Rich Choquette, who stymied the Hogsmeade offense en route to a 5-0 win at Pipers Ballpark. Sonny Rubalcaba recorded his 1st save for Gwinnett County. Hogsmeade, at 33-60, has lost 4 straight.
Also pitching in was Gwinnett County left fielder Matt Jeong, who hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, Jeong went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
