South Beach Hot Streak Continues with 3-1 Win
The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at The Ballpark on the Beach, knocking off the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 3-1. Starting pitcher Malulani Anakone was an essential part of his team's success. South Beach reliever Darren Minich was the winner. His record is now 4-1. José Quiñones took the loss. The South Beach winning streak has now reached 7 games.

In the bottom of the 7th, pinch hitter Marcel Escoda gave South Beach the lead when he hit a 2-run triple. The Blaze had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out triple off Phoenix pitcher José Quiñones changed that -- and South Beach went on to win.

"It was a good effort all around," said Escoda.
