Tuff never let Phoenix get something going. The South Beach right-hander commanded his forkball in pitching the Blaze to a win. South Beach reliever Victor Lustig picked up the win to move to 3-2. José Ruíz suffered the loss. South Beach has now won 6 games in a row.
South Beach took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Raymond Graham stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Blaze.
Graham told a South Beach Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
