Tuff, South Beach Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
South Beach Blaze starter Harrison Tuff turned in a sterling performance against the Gwinnett County Black Cats, leading his team to a slim 2-0 win. The Blaze improved to 38-28.
Tuff ran roughshod through the Gwinnett County lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. With the victory, he goes to 2-6 on the season.
"Runs were at a premium," said South Beach manager Lockwood Rose.
