The Nebraska Plainsmen bested the Mt. Vernon Bulls, 6-4, at Ballpark of Mt. Vernon. Keyveat Postell was named player of the game. He was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Nebraska reliever Daniel Mack picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Clyde Pell shouldered the loss. The Plainsmen are now 16-17, while the Bulls fall to 9-24.
Nebraska grabbed the momentum in the top of the seventh, when Postell, who is rated as the 55th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-run double. His 1st double put the Plainsmen out in front, 5-3.
On being named player of the game, Postell said: "I just love going out and having a big game. It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
