Chukars Hang 4-2 Loss on Bruins

The Idaho Falls Chukars faced a tough opponent in Bellevue pitcher Wilson Longoria, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Idaho Falls Park by a final score of 4-2. Longoria went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Getting the save was Enrique Costa, his 4th. Idaho Falls is now 40-28, Bellevue 34-34.
Alistair Mix, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Hakon Heijnen for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put Idaho Falls in front, 4-1.
In comments to the Idaho Falls Today, Mix insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
