The Idaho Falls Chukars eeked out a 4-3 win versus the Syracuse Storm at Storm Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Matko Perisc, who captured player of the game honors. Perisc, now 3-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. Syracuse has now lost 4 in a row.
Víctor Puente, who is tied for 10th in the SA in RBI with 24, aided the Idaho Falls cause with a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Syracuse manager Chad Hess.
