Generals Finish Off Storm in 12
The Washington Generals downed the Syracuse Storm, 8-5, at Washington Park. The Generals were led by Ricardo Bruno, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Washington reliever Kyu-jin Yun was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Francisco Castillo took the loss. The Generals now have a record of 34-24.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Bruno hit a fastball from Francisco Castillo for a 3-run home run. The Generals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

In comments to the Washington News, Bruno admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
