Fans who gathered at Dunkin Donuts Park saw a good contest between the Richardson City Thundercats and Boston Patriots.
The Richardson City Thundercats topped the Boston Patriots, 6-2, in Premier League action at Dunkin Donuts Park. The player of the game was Richardson City pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico native Héctor Alarcon. Kaluka Wene got the save, the 12th for him this season.
Pedro Castillo had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for the Thundercats. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Richardson City trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double.
Alarcon attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Richardson City, at 49-58, occupies 7th place in the Premier League.
