The Boston Patriots eeked out a 3-2 win versus the Richardson City Thundercats at Dunkin Donuts Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Valentín Rivera, who captured player of the game honors. Boston reliever Folkert van Huizen got the win, raising his record to 8-1. Kaluka Wene was tagged with the loss. The Patriots' win now puts them at 61-45.

The Patriots were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when shortstop Bill Chambers turned a 1-1 fastball from Kaluka Wene into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Boston a thrilling 3-2 win.

"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Richardson City skipper Imran Kopitar.
