|
The Mancelona Torch got a magnificent performance from pitcher David Buchanan, who muffled the Provo offense en route to a tight 2-1 Torch win at Mango Yard. Earning his 7th save of the year was Ignacio Ayala. Mancelona, at 26-16, occupies third place in the Menard's A.
Alex Vaske broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the fifth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Torch in front, 2-1. For the game, Vaske drew 1 walk.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Buchanan.
